On-campus Job Portal for WPI

We created a web-based job portal for WPI which allows faculties to post jobs, admins to approve those jobs and students to apply for those jobs. This portal facilitates the on-campus job operations and provides ease of administration. We have also created an inbuilt automated reporting system for retrieving employed student’s stats.

We worked as an agile team where I was responsible for system analyst role. I analyzed the “As-is” system and accordingly designed “To-be” system with several improvements. I also worked on gathering business requirement using techniques like JAD sessions, interviews, and document analysis. Further, created functional non-functional requirement documentation and acted as a liaison to translate these requirements to the technical team using use cases, workflow diagrams, process models and data flow diagrams. I also worked on developing the project plan (Gantt chart, Pert chart, WBS), executive summary, system request, feasibility analysis, test plans (Integration, system and acceptance test) and user training manual.
