Analysing Twitter data to determine buying preferences of people for different occasions.
A lot of variety of products are stocked for different occasions at stores. Few products does not get sold in enough quantity, end up in “over stocking” and leading to loss of a retailer. Few products are the most in demand and may lead to “out of stock”. To avoid this “overstock” and “out of stock” this project can be helpful. Tweets from all over the USA were analyzed to determine which products are preferred most for which occasions.
We Fetched tweets from twitter on the basis of different hashtags and keywords using twitter API on Python. Stored all the tweets on JASON, using those tweets filtered data according to certain keywords and performed frequency and sentimental analysis. Graphs and charts were plotted accordingly using tableau to visualize information of which gifts are preferred most for a particular occasion
